Caroline Moore Obituary

South Bend - Caroline Moore, 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.  Caroline was born on May 28, 1934, in South Bend, Indiana to Roman and Katherine (Czerwinski) Trzaskowski.  She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Alice Szumski.

On May 15, 1954, as Caroline Trzaskowski, she married Robert Dean Moore who preceded her in death on September 19, 2002.  Caroline is survived by children Kent Moore of Indianapolis, Indiana, Daryl (Carol) Moore of Evansville, Indiana, Dawn Horvath of Walkerton, Indiana, Eric (Kelly) Moore of Granger, Indiana, Todd (Carol) Moore of River Forest, Illinois, and Devin (Janice) Moore of South Bend, Indiana.  Caroline was blessed with eleven loving grandchildren, Kaitlin (Andrew Kondrath), Patrick (Lauren) and Colin (Mimi) Moore, Ethan and Levi Horvath, Cara, Cameron, Casey and Carson Moore, and Chloe and Quinn Moore, as well as four great grandchildren.  Steve Sabo, longtime partner, friend and adopted grandfather also survives.

In addition to being a wonderful mother who raised six children, Caroline was an accomplished seamstress, avid traveler and owned her own marketing research agency.

Visitation will be on Monday, May 20th, from 3:00 to 7:00 at Palmer Welsheimer Chapel-North Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana.  A memorial service for Caroline will be held the following day, Tuesday, May 21st at 10:00. 

In her final days, Caroline was very fortunate to have been the beneficiary of loving care and compassion from the dedicated staff of Heartland Hospice, Always Best Care and Brentwood Independent Living Elkhart.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for the Homeless, 813 S. Michigan Street, South Bend Indiana.
