Diana Renee Griffin Obituary

Diana Renee Griffin, a devoted educator, esteemed church secretary, and cherished matriarch, passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 76. Diana, born on April 11, 1948, in Pensacola, FL, was a woman of remarkable generosity and love for others. With a heart that sought to brighten the lives of those around her, she found joy in giving, particularly in shopping for gifts for her loved ones and embracing the finer things in life.

Having obtained a Master's Degree in Education, Diana dedicated her professional life to teaching, focusing on special needs and underprivileged children within the Leon County School System. Her passion for education shone brightly through her knowledge, unwavering focus, and commitment to positively impacting the lives of her students.

Outside the classroom, Diana's love and warmth extended to her family. She adored her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their presence and milestones. As an active member of Bethel AME church in Tallahassee, FL, Diana served as a secretary and found solace in her faith community, where her spirit of kindness and dedication continued to shine.

Diana was briefly married to Louis Carter, but is preceded by her first husband, Esaw Griffin, and her loving parents, Robert Cooper, and Lola Baynes.

As we say goodbye to a remarkable soul, let us carry forward her spirit of generosity, love, and dedication to making the world a brighter place. Her dedication to education, love for her family, and deep faith will forever be remembered and treasured. Diana Renee Griffin will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of light and love to guide us.
