Alberta Goldthwaite McCammon (Cookie) was born August 2, 1951 to the late Marshall and Georgia Goldthwaite, Sr. She is preceded in death by brothers: Marshall Goldthwaite, Jr., Ronnie Goldthwaite, and James Henry Goldthwaite. 

Cookie graduated from A.H. Parker High School in 1969; where she excelled in cheerleading, softball, basketball, volleyball, and track. 

She was offered a full scholarship to Tennesee State University. However, she later attended Jefferson State College. 
Alberta worked numerous jobs and later  passed the assessment for Jefferson County Police Department. 
Cookie was an amazing writer. She wrote many poems about life, money, her kids and family. She was natural comic and entertained a host of family and friends. 
She was a phenomenal cook and baker. 

Alberta leaves to mourn three sons: Larry McCammon, Jr., Sean McCammon, and Eugene McCammon of Birmingham, Alabama. One brother: George Goldthwaite, five sisters: Beatrice Goldthwaite Powell, Sheila Goldthwaite Agee, Cynthia Goldthwaite Morgan of Birmingham, Alabama and Sharon Goldthwaite Greene (David), Teresa Goldthwaite Lowe (Desi) of Atlanta, Georgia. Six grandchildren: Eugene McCammon,Larry  McCammon, LaMarion McCammon, Ashley Fowler, J'cosia McCammon, J'carrion and J'marrion Griggs
Of Birmingham, Alabama and 3 great grandchildren. She leaves a host of nephews and nieces. She especially spent endearing times with her oldest niece, Dionne Goldthwaite Williams, whom she affectionately named "Punkin."
Memorial Service will be held at, Arrington Funeral Home 520 Cotton Ave. SW, Birmingham, AL. June 1, at 1:00P.M.
