In Loving Memory of Guadalupe Martinez Natal Guadalupe Martinez Natal, 91, of Prairie Lea, Texas, a beloved Wife, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on September 27, 2023. She entered this world on December 12, 1931, in Fentress, Texas, born to Auscencion and Paula Martinez. Guadalupe was a woman of remarkable strength and unwavering love. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jose Gonzales Natal, and her devoted parents, leaving behind a legacy of love and family that will be cherished forever. She is survived by her daughters, Rosita Natal, Lucita Natal Garcia and husband Crispin M. Garcia, Guadalupe Natal, and Maria Natal, as well as her 7 cherished grandchildren, 17 adored great-grandchildren, and 3 precious great-great-grandchildren. Guadalupe was known for her zest for life and her love of simple pleasures. She had a deep affection for tamales and an undying passion for chicharones con chili with beans. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and nourishment, where she delighted in cooking for her family. The flavors she created will continue to be a source of comfort and joy for generations to come. Family was at the center of Guadalupe's world, and she relished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her heart was big enough to embrace all of her grandchildren, each holding a special place in her heart. Gathering around her table for meals and sharing stories were some of the most cherished moments in her life. In addition to her culinary talents, Guadalupe was an avid seamstress. She found solace and creativity in her sewing projects, leaving behind a tapestry of beautiful creations that will serve as a reminder of her artistic spirit. Visitation will be held starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, at DeLeon Funeral Home, with the recitation of the holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, also at DeLeon Funeral Home.
