Kim Lee Kiser Obituary

Kim Lee Kiser, 73, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He resided in Joy Household at Bridgewater Retirement Community for the last five years.


He was a graduate of Turner Ashby High School and Blue Ridge Community College. His faith was evident in his work and life. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he managed the sound system and electronics for many years.


Professionally, he had worked at ComSonics, Riddleberger Brothers, Whitesel Music, RR Donnelley, and was owner of K and P Sound and partner of Integrity Audio and Video. He was a certified Allen Organ technician and his electronic abilities are evident in many homes, churches, schools, and courtrooms throughout the Valley.


He served the community as a volunteer firefighter with Hose Company No. 4 and working with the American Red Cross, including Disaster Services. He was a founding parent of Blue Ridge Christian School and served on the Board and in many ways around the school.


On September 14, 1974, He married Frances Harlow, his wife of 49 years. They have two sons Shannon (wife Christy) and Linden (wife Aimee) and five grandchildren, Zachary, Eliza, Eleanor, Esther, and Owen. Also surviving is one sister, Lisa Dunlap (husband Bobby); brother, Terry Kiser (wife Kim) and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Doris Kiser and a brother Rick Kiser (wife Libby).


Kim was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be greatly missed. Our earthly loss is his heavenly gain.


Burial will be held privately.


A memorial service and celebration of life will be conducted at Providence Baptist Church, in Harrisonburg, on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 7 p.m.


Memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the Gideons for Bible distribution.
