Booneville, KY Albert Napier, age 56, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center, in Pikeville, KY.Albert was born in Hazard, Perry County, KY on April 18, 1955, a son of the late Lawrence and Ida (Abner) Napier. He was a former Mine Safety Analyst for the ICG Coal Company, served in both the U.S. Army and Kentucky National Guard, and a member of the East Side Church of Christ in Booneville, KY. He is survived by a special friend of 10 years; Alma Thomas, 1 step-son; Josh Thomas of Booneville, KY, 3 brothers; Ed Napier and Charles Napier both of Bloomington, IN, and Elbert Napier of Hindman, KY, 2 sisters; Liza Ruben of Sarasota, FL and Pauline Marshall of Booneville, KY, along with many other loving family members and friends.Albert was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers; Jesse Napier and Robert York.Funeral Services along with Military Rites from Three Forks Post #11296 Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held at the Booneville Funeral Home, Booneville, KY at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 2, 2012 with Minister Gary Marshall officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 6:00 9:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home, Booneville, KY. Albert will be laid to rest in the Chestnut Gap Cemetery in Booneville, KY.
