Betty Lou Bettinger, 82


Okeechobee – Betty Lou Bettinger died May 11, 2024. She was born January 24, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Harry L. Martin and Louise Martini-Fischesser. A resident of Okeechobee for 45 years, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed flowers and spending time with family and friends.


Mrs. Bettinger was preceded in death by her father, Harry Martini; mother, Louise Martini-Fischesser; brothers, Daniel W., James H., and Joseph L.; and sisters, Shirley Martin and

Margaret M.


She is survived by her son, Christopher Michael Bettinger, of Cumming, GA; daughter, Kimberly Louise Bettinger-Jackson, of Ft. Pierce, FL; four grandchildren, Erica Elise Jackson Mayland, Emily Grace Jackson, Chasen Robert Bettinger, and Cade Edmund Bettinger; great grandchild, Brooklyn Kames Mayland; brother, Ronald Martini, of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Mildred Lewis and Mary Jane Hisle, both of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law, Judy Martini; and lots of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


The family would like to thank Okeechobee Senior Services Lenora and Becky, Big Lake Rehabilitation Sandy and Vitas. The family would also like to thank all her friends that always stopped by to see her including Pam Douglas.


A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
