Enoch O. Rentz, 96, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at his residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ron McCaskell and Rev. Andy Glover officiating and will conclude at the church. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Dennis Rentz, Jimmy Rentz, Phil Shiver, Lee Shiver, Hal Rentz, Greg Rentz, and Kevin Rentz serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com . Mr. Rentz was born February 17, 1918 in Baker County, GA, the oldest son of G. O. Rentz and Emma Marthina Singleton Rentz. He was a graduate of Elmodel High School and attended Duval Business College in Jacksonville, FL. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 65 years and was an usher. Mr. Rentz was a employed by Rentz Farm Supply and Rentz Trucking for over 40 years. In 1999, he was selected by the SWGA Council on Aging as the older worker of the year. He eventually retired at the age of 89. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and walking along the beach. Survivors include his wife 72 years, Annie Lee Earnest Rentz of Bainbridge, GA; his son Tommy Rentz of Bainbridge, GA; his daughters, Sandra Rentz Wilkinson and her husband, Haisten, of Bainbridge, GA and Gloria Rentz Trammell of Albany, GA; his sister, Geneva Shiver of Cairo, GA; his grandchildren, Teri Wilkinson Perry and her husband, Greg, of Leesburg, GA, Brett Wilkinson and his wife, Jennifer, of Bainbridge, GA, Jennifer Wylie and her husband, Russ, of Chapel Hill, FL, Michael Trammell and his wife, Michelle, of Albany, GA, and Jena Shell and her husband, Charlie, of Vestavia Hills, AL; his great-grandchildren, Emily Perry, Madison Perry, Haylie Wilkinson, Haisten Wilkinson, Summer Wylie, River Wylie, Chip Shell, Trammell Shell, and Julia Shell; and his sister-in-law, Jean Ward of Bainbridge, GA. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thurman Rentz, Ethan Rentz, Marvin Rentz and Floyd Rentz.
