JANE M. NEGLER (nee Gray), age 95, passed away peacefully on May 11th, 2024. Devoted wife to the late Gerald E. Negler. Loving mother to Gerald Negler (Annamarie), Jane McKetta (Steve), Nancy Widtfeldt, Joan Carter, and Marie Quinn (Bob). Beloved grandmother to James Negler, Maureen Negler, Jacqie Holdsworth, Kelly Negler, Kristy Limon-Louw, Kevin McKetta, John Widtfeldt, Ben Widtfeldt, Daniel Widtfeldt, Jeffrey Widtfeldt, Janelle Widtfeldt, Nancy Brown, Jerry Widtfeldt, Catherine Widtfeldt, and Christopher Carter. Cherished great-grandmother to Breanna, Justin, Christine, Mylie, John, Liam, Chase, Gavin, James, Logan, Cole, Brynn, Myla, Madi, John, Bobby, Nora, Avelyn, Ben, Chloe, Mac, Joanna, Amelia, Calvin, Eli, Tessa, Serenity, Jocelyn, and Christopher. Great-great-grandmother to Jimmy and Mylah. Loving sister to the late Joan Gray, SSJ, and the late John Gray (Olivia). Sister-in-law to Bernadette Moran and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.


Jane was born on October 18, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA to the late John J. Gray and Helen M. Murray. She lived her entire life in Philadelphia and graduated from Little Flower High School in1946. Jane had a strong work ethic, and she worked during her high school years in a department/furniture store. Later she learned how to be a key punch operator and then spent the majority of her work career as a bookkeeper. She loved working with numbers. She met her husband, Gerald E. Negler, while attending St. Hugh Elementary School and they were married on May 6, 1950. Jane loved her family most of all. There are countless memories of good times shared by all, especially during the summers at Cape May. She was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and enjoyed the 50+ Club in her retirement years. Jane enjoyed shopping,

chocolate, potato chips, and Southern Comfort Old Fashions. She is famous for her wise advice and always seemed to have a quote to match any situation. Jane leaves a beautiful legacy of a life well lived. She was good, kind, wise, thoughtful, caring, and truly loved by all who met her.


Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Friday, May 31, 2024, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116, immediately followed by her funeral mass, 11:00AM. Interment Private.
