Edwin C. Jaehnen Obituary

Edwin C. Jaehnen, 88, of Pierce Township, passed away at 6:24 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, at his home. He was born in Cincinnati on January 16, 1936, to the late Edwin and Lorraine (Korte) Jaehnen. He married the former Ann Schweirmann on May 31, 1957, and she survives.


He is also survived by four children: Mark (Sharmin) Jaehnen, Gary Jaehnen, Carol Sue (Tom) Hale, and David (Cathy) Jaehnen; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.


Edwin was a mechanical engineer at Clopay for 42 years and was a member of their Pioneer Club. During his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling.


Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at St. Thomas More Church, 800 Ohio Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45245, where Father Bill Wagner will lead a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Pierce Township Cemetery.


Memorial contributions may be made, in Edwin’s memory, to St. Thomas More Church or Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley, 215 Hughes Blvd, Mt. Orab, OH 45154.
