Sherry Lynn Cummings Obituary

Sherry Lynn (Morin) Cummings, age 52, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, May 12,2024.

Sherry was born in Norwood, MA on September 14, 1971, she was a graduate of Foxborough High School, Class of 1989. She and her husband Berton were married at Easton Country Club on August 24, 2001. She has been a resident of South Easton since 2005.

Loving mother to Kyle Cummings, Sherry was a devoted mother and loved following her son Kyle for many years of watching him play youth, high school baseball and football, and college baseball. She was an avid New England Patriots fan. Sherry loved to garden and grow her own vegetables and herbs. She loved to cook and bake and was obsessed with any food cooking channels, compiling thousands of recipes on 5x8 index cards over the years. While raising Kyle, Sherry started a successful online fudge and candy store Sherilynn Creations. Sherry worked for many years as a bartender and later worked in the deli department of Shaw’s Supermarket in Easton and Mansfield.

In 2015 Sherry was diagnosed with a very rare disease Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and against all odds, miraculously survived after a bone marrow transplant, provided by her sister Stacy. After treatment and rehabilitation at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the disease had been removed.

Sherry is survived by her mother Sally (Flaherty) Burke of Plainville and father James Morin of Uxbridge. Sister Stacy Hodson and her husband Keith and aunt to their children Griffin, Samantha, and McKenzie of North Attleboro. Daughter-in-law to Patricia and Berton Cummings. Sister-in-law to Kathy Cummings, Christine Cummings, and Lori Richelderfer.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough.
