Joseph Delano Losh Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Joseph Delano Losh who left us on May 13, 2024 at the age of 88 years surrounded by family in his final moments. He was a man of distinct humor and was well thought of by anyone who met him. He was a cherished family man who leaves behind a legacy of family values and traditions.

He was born July 22, 1935 in Sligo, MO and later moved to Willow Springs, MO where he graduated high school in 1953. He served in the US Army 1958 – 1960.

He married Kay Green and had 4 children while working with AT&T. His AT&T career moved the family across 9 states. He held numerous positions during his 31-year career beginning as a groundsman and retiring as the right of way manager for the state of Texas. After retirement, he established a company which contracted with telecommunications firms. As recently as last year he attended a reunion of his old work friends.

His hobbies were many, but he mostly enjoyed family time, RV’ing, fishing, hunting and lapidary.

He is survived by wife Kay Green Losh of Van Alstyne, TX, children David and Dawn of Villa Ridge, MO, Renee and Mike of McKinney TX, Joe and Nancy of Van Alstyne TX, Scott of Van Alstyne, TX. Brothers Stephen and Violet of Springfield, MO, Charles of Springfield, MO, and sisters-in-law JoAnne Stephenson of Jacksonville, AR and Betty Losh of Sparta, MO.
