Altabella T. Papalia Obituary

On the evening of Tuesday, December 8, 2020, Altabella/Teresa Papalia, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in the company of loving family. Altabella was born on February 18, 1932 in a small town in Reggio Calabria, Italia. She immigrated to the United States to start a new life with her late husband, Rocco Papalia, and sons Nicola and Frank Papalia. Mrs. Papalia was a woman of remarkable strength and perseverance. She was a passionate cook as well as a passionate gardener who took great pride in sharing the fruits of her labor with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocco Papalia, and son, Nicola Papalia, and strived to keep their presence alive through thoughts, prayers, and pictures adjourning her home. Although we are mourning her at this time, it is only right that she be reunited with them once again. She is survived by her son, Frank, daughter-in-laws, Audrey and Mercedes, and grandchildren Christopher, Aidan, Claudia, Daniel, Lyl, and Kieran Papalia.
