Lucy Nardelli Mt. Kisco, New York Obituary

Lucy Nardelli

On Sunday, May 9th, surrounded by the love of her family, Lucia "Lucy" Sabata (Caracciolo) Nardelli peacefully passed away at the age of 98. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Michael, Paul (Vicky), Dolores, John (Mary Jane); grandchildren: Alyssa, Gennaro, Anna, John (Jackie), David (Chrissy), Sarah, John (Christine), Raymond, Gianna (Wayne); great-grandchildren: Gianna, Rocco, Sofia, Wayne, and Daniella. They are very grateful for Lucys caregiver, Myrtle, who assisted in her loving care for over five years. They would also like to show gratitude for Nadine, who assisted in caring for Lucy in the early part of her illness. Lucy met and married the love of her life, Gennaro Nardelli, February 24, 1946 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mt. Kisco. Gennaro predeceased her on June 9, 1976. Lucy retired from the Readers Digest in Pleasantville and she enjoyed volunteering at Northern Westchester Hospital for many years. She loved playing golf, spending time at the beach, and going to the casino. She always had a smile for everyone and, whether she knew it or not, she gave the best little snippets of advice! She was a believer in following your heart and being thankful for the little things in life. Lucy was predeceased by her siblings: James, Joseph, John, Henry, Albert, Catello, Antoinette, Michael, and Sabata; and her parents Lazzaro and Rubina Caracciolo.
