Rosa Lee Cuffee Obituary

Rosa Lee Cuffee was born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1928 to parents, Samuel and Maude. Rosa was the fourth of five children. Rosa married Isaiah on November 20, 1955 in Virginia. She deeply enjoyed being with her husband. Rosa's educational experience includes Fayetteville State Teaching College where she obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree. She continued her studies at Mercy College studying Special Education Training. Furthermore, she worked at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York, along with learning the training for physically impaired. She attended teacher's college at Columbia University where she got her Masters of Arts Degree in learning disabled. Rosa happily lived in Goldens Bridge, New York for about 62 years. She became a teacher and worked in many schools throughout the Katonah-Lewisboro School District, loving every minute of it. As of 1991, Rosa completed 30 years of teaching approximately 900 students. Rosa was an active member in her community, as she was in the Ladies Auxiliary at the Goldens Bridge Fire Department and a camp counselor at Goldens Bridge Day Camp. She was a Girl Scout Leader at Hill Crest Camp for children as well as a Sunday School teacher, along with other volunteer works. Rosa Lee Cuffee is survived by her loving family and many close friends. She touched many people's lives and will truly be missed.
