Rosati, Maureen S. (Whalen) died April 2nd at her home in South Salem in the arms of her beloved husband and daughter. She is survived by Salvatore Rosati, her husband of 33 years; her daughter Danielle Rosati of New York City, her mother Elinor Whalen of Poughkeepsie, NY and her four siblings, William Whalen III (Linda), Kathleen Whalen Nerf, Margaret Whalen Swingle, and Michael Whalen (Margaret), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, William H. Whalen Jr.Maureen was born on February 23, 1954 in Mt. Kisco, NY. She attended St. Mary's Parochial School in Katonah and was graduated as salutatorian of Class of 1972 from John F. Kennedy High School in Somers. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Geneseo and her Master's Degree from Columbia University. She worked as a Nurse Practioner and taught pediatric nursing.She was a generous and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, teacher, and friend. She influenced many lives with her willingness to listen, counsel, and offer unconditional support to her family, friends, and students. She lived her life with an unfailing generosity of spirit and faced her final illness with courage.Her family gratefully acknowledges Phelps Hospice of Westchester for their care and kindness.
