Kurt W. Grossberndt Obituary

A man of few words Kurt W. Grossberndt was not. Kurt died at the age of 49 on January 14 but not before filling the lives of those he loved with a lifetime of laughter. He built a successful business, raised a family and traveled extensively. But to those who knew him best, he will be remembered for his kindness, infectious laugh and for his ability to cast a joke.. "He could tell one hell of a story," his wife said. Kurt was born in Tucson, Arizona, in 1965 and lived in Denver and New York before meeting Hephzibah in 1986. He graduated from Clarkson University (New York) in 1990, receiving a bachelor's degree with distinction. He traveled extensively, jumped out of airplanes, went SCUBA diving in the Caribbean and took his family skiing in the French Alps. The information technology services business he founded, Eppy International Industries, is based in Darien, CT., He leaves behind an adoring wife, Hephzibah Grossberndt (Bodt) of Mount Kisco, NY; and he was the proud parent of Silas Grossberndt, Asha Grossberndt and Theo Grossberndt. He is also survived by his parents Donald Grossberndt and Judith Grossberndt (Moses), sister Jennifer Henry, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
