Nancy C. O'Hanlon Obituary

Devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and community member will be dearly missed. Nancy Catherine (Muller) OHanlon of Armonk, New York, peacefully passed away on September 29th, 2023, at the age of eighty-six years. Nancy was born on September 23, 1937, in Rochester, NY to Sylvester and Arline Muller and was raised in Eastchester. Nancy graduated from the Academy of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in White Plains, NY where she flourished as a leading lady in stage productions co-produced with Stepinac Archbishop High School. Nancy attended Grasslands Hospital Nursing Program, Westchester County, where she earned her registered nursing license. Nancy met the love of her life, John R. OHanlon, Esq. They married in August of 1961 and enjoyed fifty-three years of marriage until Johns passing in 2014. Nancy is survived by her siblings Michael and Gerard, and her children: John M. (Kathryn) OHanlon, DPM, Moira C. (Bill) Bubeck, Karin A. (Tom) Evanoff, RN, Deirdre M. (Paul) Cimino, PhD, and Mark R. OHanlon, MS along with eleven cherished grandchildren: Tommy, William, Olivia, Jack, Luke, Alaina, Michael, Christopher, Grace, Claire, and Keira. After raising her family, Nancy earned a Bachelor of Arts, with honors in Psychology, from The State University of New York at Purchase in 1995. A long-term resident of Armonk, Nancy donated her time and talent to numerous community organizations. She worked as a registered nurse at both Saint Agnes and Jacobi Hospitals as well as a school nurse in the Byram Hills School District. Nancy was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Patrick Church in Armonk. She was a pastoral care volunteer and Eucharistic minister at Northern Westchester Hospital for twenty-five years. She served her church as a catechist, religious education teacher, choir member, and prayer group leader. She shared her love for nature by volunteering as a Naturalist at the Connecticut Audubon Society. Nancy regularly brought joy and cheer to residents at local nursing homes through her singing and piano playing. During the holidays, she gathered Byram Hills High School students to perform musically at senior facilities. She made a positive difference in Westchester through dedicated volunteerism. Nancy will be lovingly remembered for her generosity, kindness, and spirituality. Like her treasured flower, the daisy, Nancy exemplified optimism. Her love and devotion for family and friends was unwavering. Nancy Catherine OHanlon will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her beautiful life will be rewarded in heaven with Gods perpetual love and his spiritual embrace. Family & Friends are invited to Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Directors 288 East Main Street Mt. Nancy will be buried in her family plot in St. Francis Cemetery in Mt, Kisco NY 10549.
