Tony Del Vecchio Obituary

Anthony (Tony) Del Vecchio, 85, of Mount Kisco, New York passed away on Friday, October 26th, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born in New York City, Tony was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served his country for twenty years. Tony continued to serve his community as a Senior Court Clerk for New York State. Tony was a long time member of the American Legion, Post 136. He was deeply religious, an avid bird watcher, talented potter, gardener, and outstanding cook. Tony was a graduate of NYIT and fluent in three languages. Tony is survived by the love of his life, Josette, his bride for nearly 63 years. He will live in the hearts of his children, Philip, Isabelle, Anthony (m. Greg), and Beatrice (m. Mark), to whom he was a devoted and loving father. Tony was a cherished grandfather to ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whose lives have been enriched by his generous heart. He will also be remembered by loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends here in the United States and abroad. Tony will be remembered as a cheerful and witty friend to all. In our hearts, he will always be whistling, singing, offering kindness in every conversation, and leaving his piece of the world more beautiful. He touched every person he met with authentic kindness, an open heart, genuine charm, and his clever sense of humor. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 10:00am at Saint Francis of Assisi in Mount Kisco, New York. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tony's name to The American Heart Association or NextGenFace (pediatricfacialsurgery.org). O most amiable Protector, Saint Anthony of Padua, what worthy gift can I possibly offer to show my gratitude? I have nothing that is of worth to you; but I offer you all the esteem, in which you are continuously held throughout the world, and all the miracles with which you have filled the church even to the benefit of those outside its fold; all these, admirable Saint Anthony, please express my humble thanks for everything to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and to the Most Blessed Virgin Mary through endless ages. Amen. Memorial Mass St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church Friday, November 2, 2018 10:00 AM 2 Green Street Mount Kisco, NY 10549
