Joyce Cambareri-Trogdon Obituary

. Joyce Elaine Cambareri Trogdon was born on June 6, 1952 in Bedford, NY to her parents Thomas Cambareri (deceased) and Phyllis Constance Mary Antini. She grew up as a tomboy playing cowboys and Indians with her siblings (Pamela Brooke Cadmus, Thomas Christian Cambareri and Mark Cambareri), exploring Sandwich Island, and dreaming of one day being Superman. As a young teenager her lifelong love of the Beatles began. Joyce received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oswego and later ventured to the mountains in Virginia with her sister Pam. There she met the love of her life, Johnny Warren Trogdon, and married him 6 months later on January 26, 1980 in Indian Valley, VA. Shortly after they were married, they had two children, Pascha Elizabeth Trogdon and Justin Warren Trogdon. They later moved to Cleveland, Ohio where Joyce worked with mentally disabled adults and John attended medical school. There they had their "second set of children," Emily Kathleen Trogdon and Robert Thomas Trogdon. They moved the family to Darlington, SC where John worked as a physician while Joyce raised the family of six; cooking her famous spaghetti and meatballs, reading bedtime stories, and taking care of everyone in her path. She was very close with her mother and father in law, Bobby Warren Trogdon (deceased) and Betty Margaret Rose Trogdon, who treated her as their own daughter. Joyce became a proud grandmother of Abigail Elizabeth Simonsen and David Thomas Simonsen who she treated as her "third set of children." She was an amazing and thoughtful person and welcomed everyone in her home with open arms. Joyce was a very special soul and known for her warm spirit, her love of life, and not to mention her long dark hair parted down the middle. Everyone that met Joyce simply fell in love with her. We are all blessed to know such a wonderful woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Her spirit lives amongst us all as an angel in the heavens, and we will all be with her someday soon.
