Marie Coviello was born in the Bronx, New York on January 18, 1924 to Anna and Antonio Cuomo. She was the second of 3 children. She is pre-deceased by her husband Jack Coviello and beloved brothers Pat and Louie Cuomo. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Balboni, son-in-law John Balboni and grandson Jared Balboni. Marie lived a good life of 95 years. She was loved by one and all and known for being a fun loving character, having a larger than life personality and being ahead of her time in all ways. She was the matriarch of the family and a person that everyone turned to for help. She will be remembered for her generosity, wit and sage advice. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, visiting the casino, shopping and time spent with her family and friends. Marie was a natural born leader. She worked until almost 80 years of age as an office manager for local builders. She was involved in many boards and organizations. She was a member of Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown, NY and was very active in the Tarrytown Senior Center. A funeral mass will be held on March 26 at 10am at St. Patrick's Church in Bedford, NY, followed by a burial at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY and a luncheon at Unique Affairs restaurant at Pleasantville Country Club.
