Lloyd Elliot Kushner, born on November 14, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York to Jeanette and Harry Kushner passed away on May 22, 2023. Lloyd was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Madeline (Mady) Hauser Kushner, who passed away on November 16, 2022. He is also predeceased by his parents, his sister, Rhonda Kushner Mitchell and his sister-in-law, Arlene Hauser Sheff. Lloyd is survived by his sons, Michael Kushner (Joanne) of Cross River, NY and Brian Kushner (Jen) of Jupiter, FL; his grandchildren, Stefanie, Jonathan, Jordan and Kendall Kushner; his sister-in-law, Roberta Hauser Carrier (Ron) of Athens, GA; nieces and nephews, Deborah Johnson, Steven Mitchell, Brenda Lazarus, Debbie Andrews, Alissa Carrier, and their children. Lloyd also leaves behind his beloved champion show dog, Campbell, who has been lovingly adopted by dear family friends, Lori Stratton and her family. Lloyd grew up in Massapequa, NY and was always the consummate salesman. Starting his career in his early 20s as a traveling salesman with BVD Shirt Company, he parlayed his talent into founding multiple retail stores including Yorktown Army Navy, Country Men & Boys and Squires Family Clothing & Footwear. No one who ever met Lloyd forgot Lloyd. Whether you were a customer in his store or met him on the street in Katonah with one of his gorgeous Bearded Collies, you remembered his sense of humor and quick wit. He will be sorely missed by his family, his many customers, and especially by his devoted store manager and friend of 40 years, Chris Kittrick. Services will be held on Thursday, May 25 at 3:00 pm, at King David Memorial Chapel, 288 E. Main St., Mount Kisco, NY 10549. Shiva will follow services at the home of Joanne & Michael Kushner, 27 Lambert Ridge, Cross River, NY. Donations in Lloyds memory may be made to the Susan G.
