Janet L. Higley, 78, formerly of Tippery, died peacefully, Friday, May 10, 2024 at Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born May 15, 1945 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Hazel Heath Perry.
A 1964 graduate of Cranberry High School, she worked for many years as the manager of Tobey’s Pizza in Oil City.
An outdoor lover, she enjoyed gardening, camping, and bird watching. She liked going on car rides, especially for ice cream at Polly’s.
On October 20, 2004, she was married to Larry B. Higley, who preceded her in death on February 22, 2009.
Surviving is her son, Justin Perry and his fiancée Lisa Simmers of Oil City.
Also surviving is a sister, June Priest of Oil City.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Perry.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 5 pm in the Morrison Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 5 pm.
Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.
