Dean Joel Anania, 57, of Charleston departed this life unexpectedly Thursday, May 2, 2024 at home.

He was born April 13, 1967 in Charleston, WV. A son of the late, Joseph and Thelma (Lusk) Anania. Also preceding him in death was one daughter, Dena Brown.

Dean loved playing pool. He was a member of the KVPPA Pool League and shot for Dale’s Center Pub with the team known as Hicks with Sticks. He loved music, had a big heart and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a jack of all trades but master of none. Dean never met a stranger and always knew how to make you feel loved.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving sons, Joseph “Joey” Anania and Dino Anania; step-son, Nate Monroe; brothers, Jim Boyrer (Kathy) and Michael Anania; granddaughter, Sidnie Brown as well as a host of other family and friends.

Cremation has been observed and services will be held at a later date.
