Graydon A. Dougherty Obituary

Castle Hill – Graydon A. Dougherty, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 07, 2024, at his home in Castle Hill surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 13, 1948, the son of Cecil and Helen (Canam) Dougherty.

Graydon was a people person and loved, listening, helping, and being around people. Everyone was drawn to him and loved to be around him as he was always there to listen and provide heartfelt advice. Sometimes his advice was tough to hear but he always made sure people knew it was because he cared for them that he was willing to give hard advice.

He worked for DC Farms for 25 years and loved the farming life. After he was done working in the fields he loved to spend his free time fishing, camping, and hunting with family and friends. He was also a very talented musician and was part of the Country Knights for 25 years.

Graydon is predeceased by his parents; Cecil and Helen (Canam) Dougherty, brothers; Clayton (Tommy), Linwood (Glenwood), and Milton (Bub), sisters; Gail Mazerolle and Judy McKinnon.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Shirley (Lunn) Dougherty, son; John Dougherty and his partner Wanda Stubbs, daughter; Tina Dougherty and her partner Craig MacFarline, sisters; Betty Sharp and Sharon Armour, grandchildren; Jonathan Dougherty, Kali Warner, Graydon Warner, Brittany Warner, and Amber Saunders, greatgrandchildren; Emma Dougherty, Olivia Dougherty, Uriah Dougherty, Bentley Kilcollins, Kinslee Rowland and several special nieces and nephews.
