Georgia Faye Hayes Obituary

    Georgia Faye Hayes, 85, of Earlington, KY passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hayes was born in Mortons Gap, KY to the late James Robert Dugger and Ruth Frances Adcox Dugger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Hayes; two sisters, Clara Nell Fox and Mary Frances Thomas; and two brothers, James Allen Dugger and Robert Earl Dugger.


   Georgia worked as a cook at the Pantry. She was a member of Abundant Grace Church and was also a Kentucky Colonel. She enjoyed things such as sewing, flowers, and plants of all kinds. She also had a deep love for her cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Marie Patterson of Mortons Gap; two sons, Charles Anthony (Marianne) Hayes of Madisonville and Barry Wayne (Tina) Hayes of Dixon, KY; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


    Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 13, 2024 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville. Entombment will take place privately at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.


    Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time Monday at the funeral home.


   Pallbearers will be Perry Wayne Hayes, Tyler Barrett Hayes, Chris Patterson, and Gary Brasher.


   Memorial contributions may be made to Hopkins County Humane Society at PO 1345 Madisonville, KY 42431. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
