Wilma “Granny” Wheeler, age 79 of Calera, OK passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in her home. She was born on June 21,1944 to Howard Frank Wilson and Lillie Ola. Wilma married Billy Wheeler in Howe, TX in 1975. She spent many years working at Community/Medical Plaza Hospital and was a member of the Baptist faith.


Wilma is survived by her son, Tommy Wheeler and wife Stacy of Mead, OK; sister Ola Kay Hale and husband John of College Station, TX; grandchildren Ramanda Nelson and husband Jonathan of Durant, OK; Kimberly Moore and husband Jimmy of Durant, OK; Ryan Crossman and wife Chelsea of Colbert, OK; Megan Crossman and David Peterson of Calera, OK: Katlyn Kelly and husband Jimmy of Mead, OK; Toby; Ty Wheeler; Tori Wheeler; great-grandchildren Robert, Shane, Dominik, Jovie, Kinsley, Ryland, Christopher, Brayden, Aubrey, Paisley; and great-great-granddaughter Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Wheeler, brothers Wayne and Sam Wilson, sister Francis Kennedy, daughter Linda Crossman and granddaughter Teryn Crossman.


A visitation will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, TX from 6:00-8:00 pm.
