Mary Catherine Hartz Clements Obituary

Mary Catherine Clements, aged 95, was called to her eternal rest on May 7, 2024, in her hometown of Louisville, KY. She was a woman of compassion and dignity, cherished by her family and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Born on April 20, 1929, to Edward and Lillian Hartz, Mary led a life filled with love and happiness. She was the beloved wife of the late Rich Clements and a devoted mother to her children - Carol Gossman, Rick Clements (Nancy), Robin Clements (Doug) and Craig Clements. Her legacy is also carried on by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild who will remember her for her fun-loving spirit and commitment to family values.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Rich, her mother and father, her brothers Charlie Hartz and Joe Hartz, and her treasured grandson Ricky Gossman.

The family invites you to join them in a celebration of Mary's life during visitation that will be held at Ratterman & Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville Monday, May 13 from 4-8pm. Church service will be held at St. John Paul II (formally St. Pius) 3539 Goldsmith Lane, Tuesday, May 14 at 10am. Her life was a testament to the virtues of faith, hope, and charity, and as such, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to Hosparus Health, an organization that provided her with exceptional care and comfort in her final weeks.

May Mary Catherine Clements rest in the peace of Christ, and may those she leaves behind find solace in the knowledge that she lives on in the kingdom of heaven and in the hearts of those she loved.
