James Junior May Obituary

James Junior May, age 74 of Estill Springs, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on December 8, 1949, to the late James Turner and Alta Mae (Hodges) May. He was employed by the Franklin County Highway Department until his retirement in 2004. When he was able, James enjoyed fishing and rabbit hunting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Stewart May. James is survived by his son, Jimmy May; grandchildren, John May, LeeAnn May, and Brooke May; and great-grandchildren, Carter, Cam, Addison, and Grayson. Visitation will be from 10-11am on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
