Ellen Louise Lovelace Obituary

Ellen L. (Lury) Lovelace, a retired jewelry solderer, passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 7, 2024. She was 86 years of age. She was the wife of the late Rey G. Lovelace, III and a daughter of the late Edward P. and Helen (Hanson) Lury.


Ellen was a strong and independent woman who raised eight children on her own. She dedicated herself to providing for them and often brought them on family vacations all on her own. Her children remember her as the ‘Perfect Mom.’


Ellen was the devoted mother of Rey Lovelace IV, Helene Lovelace, Jacqueline Lovelace, Harold Lovelace, William Lovelace, Bruce Lovelace, Anna Marie DiMaio and the late Deborah Turgeon; grandmother of 17; the great-grandmother of many great-grandchildren and the great-great-grandmother of one. Ellen was the sister of the late Jean Feeney and Midge Hollis.


Her burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
