 Edward (Eddie) Panella, 76, of Freehold, NJ passed away Tuesday, May 7th, at Jersey Shore Medical Center. 

Eddie was born and raised in Jersey City. He was predeceased by his loving parents Adeline (Zicchino) and James Panella. Eddie lived in Cliffwood Beach prior to moving to Freehold 34 years ago.

He served proudly in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and was known for his love of animals. 

Eddie graduated from Newark College of Engineering (NJIT) and enjoyed a career as a Mechanical Engineer at Naval Weapons Station Earle prior to retiring.

He is survived by his cherished siblings Theresa Perri and James Panella, and was preceded in death by beloved siblings Joseph Panella, Marie Borowski, Eleanor Sorensen, and Liz McNair.  He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.


Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM on Monday, May 13th and again on Tuesday, May 14th from 10:30-11 AM at Day Funeral Home in Keyport, New Jersey.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM on Tuesday, May 14th at Day Funeral Home and interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery Keyport.
