Helen Jo Dimmick, 94, of Edmond, OK, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024. Born on May 28, 1930, in Alva, OK, Helen was a beacon of love, faith, and creativity, deeply cherished by all who knew her.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 13, 2024, at the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Bernhart officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Jo's loving spirit touched numerous lives during her fulfilling journey. She was the devoted step-mother of two step-sons, Robert Dimmick of Jenks and Russell Dimmick of Plano. Her legacy lives on through the lives of her adoring grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Jo was preceded in death by her late husbands, Claud Blakely and Robert Dimmick Jr., her parents, her son, Robert Blakely, her daughter, Claudia Blakely, her brothers, George and Harry Curry, and her sisters, Dixie Lawrence and Patsy Freeman.

Jo's academic life blossomed in Alva Public Schools, a foundation that paved the way for her successful career. As a Vice President of Exchange National Bank, she exemplified leadership and grace. Jo's involvement with the Red Hat Society, her passion for painting, crafts, quilting, and teaching painting reflected her love of life. She was an avid reader, often found immersed in her Bible or engrossed in books and audio stories. Time with family was Jo's greatest joy, second only to her devotion to Bible study.

Those who knew Jo remember a woman whose life was a testament to her faith-filled heart and boundless creativity. She leaves behind a tapestry of love and fond memories that will comfort and inspire her family and friends for generations to come. Jo's journey here may have concluded, but her spirit and teachings will forever be woven into the lives of those she embraced.
