Rose Antionette Porfert-Machado, nee Kraus, passed away on May 8, 2024, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 96. She was born on December 26, 1927, in Queens, NY.

Rose was a lifelong Catholic and a devoted member of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Turlock, CA. She was known for her warm and loving nature, bringing smiles to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her sons, Tom Porfert (Peggy Porfert) and Harry Porfert Jr (Roni Porfert), as well as grandsons Thomas Porfert and Chris Porfert. Rose was preceded in death by her husbands, Harry R. Porfert Sr and Manuel Machado, and her parents, Frank and Marie Krauss, along with her sisters Millie, Esther, Alice, and Amalia. She was also preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Porfert.

A visitation in memory of Rose will be held at Belden Larkin Funeral Home, 707 S 6th St., on Sunday, May 12th at 4:00 pm to 6:00 PM in Leavenworth, KS. Funeral Service at 11:00 am will be Monday, May 13, 2024 at the funeral home with Chaplain Johan Tredaux, officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 pm at Leavenworth National cemetery.
