Sydney Ellen Campbell Obituary

Sydney Ellen Campbell, 27, of Somerville, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on Christmas Day 1996 in Schenectady, New York. She was the greatest gift to our world.

She graduated from Guilderland High School in 2014 and was a pole vaulter on the track team. She went on to graduate cum laude from Northeastern University in 2019, where she was in the Honors Program, served as a Resident Assistant, and played on the NU Rugby Football Team (the Mad Dogs). She fell in love with Boston and lived there for the remainder of her life. She worked as a financial analyst and accountant. She had a wide circle of friends and was especially passionate about Taylor Swift, the Patriots, the Red Sox, fantasy football, board games, Jeopardy, good books, lobster rolls, and ice cream cake. Sydney lived her life to the fullest.

Sydney is survived by her parents, David G. Campbell and Kathleen K. Campbell, her sisters, Kaitlin Pearl Campbell, and Erin Lucille Campbell, her grandparents John and Jeannine Kissane, and David G. Campbell Sr. and Cheryl B. Stafford, and numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, May 16th from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at St. Madeleine Sophie Church at 3500 Carman Rd, Schenectady, NY 12303. Mass will follow at 12:00 pm and lunch will be held afterwards across the street at the Fort Hunter Volunteer Fire Company.
