Evelyn Lovelace Willis, 92 of 6697 Wehunt Brown Road, Cherryville passed away, Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Peak Resources in Cherryville. Born December 11, 1925 in Cleveland County, she was daughter of the late Vester Miller Lovelace and Myrtle Weaver Lovelace. She was retired from Hewlett Manufacturing and a member of North Brook Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jack Willis; two daughters, Christine Glover and Patricia Irene Willis; daughter-in-law, Sue Willis; three brothers, George Lovelace, James Lovelace and Earl Lovelace and five sisters, Gertrude White, Vernie Mae Goins, Darcus Rhyne, Ella Henderson and Louise Costner. Survivors include four sons, Jerry Willis of Hickory, Rev. Norris Willis (Irene) of Cherryville, Harold Dean Willis (Suzanne) of Lawndale and Busie Willis (Diana) of Cherryville; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. A funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1:00 PM at North Brook Baptist Church with Revs. Norris Willis and Robert Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
