Olive S. Ward

Olive S. Ward, age 90, of Janesville, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at home. She was born on November 22, 1927 in Janesville, the daughter of Russell and Margie Finch. Olive married David J. "Bud" Ward on June 18, 1948 in Dubuque, IA. He died on May 17, 1995. Together Olive and Bud farmed for many years. Olive was a loving caregiver for her entire family and gave freely of her time and talents to everyone. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was "Grandma" to the entire neighborhood. Olive also loved farming and gardening. She is survived by: 2 sons, Jeff Ward and Steve (Judy) Ward both of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: Joshua (girlfriend, Adrienne Weber and her daughter, Kaela) Ward of Janesville, Leanne (Steve) Hoffman and 2 great grandchildren, Hailey and Abbey all of Janesville and Jenessa (Brett) Benesh of Janesville. Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 sisters, Izetta Finch and Jean Kleinert. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Schneider Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Emerald Grove Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Schneider Funeral Home and again on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 2:00 pm until the time of service at the Schneider Funeral Home. Olive was always such a sweet face to see in LaPrairie Township. Lots of fun memories on that farm with your family! Many hugs to you all, sorry for your loss.
