Natale R. Colone Obituary

Natale R. Colone, 79, of Harrisburg, died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his home.


Born January 1, 1945 in Roccavivi, Italy, he was the son of the late Ennio Bernard and Angela (Tullio) Colone.


Mr. Colone was former owner and operator of the Lamplighter Inn in Wellsboro, the Hotel Colone in Berwick, the Ivanhoe Restaurant in Drums, and the City Distributor in Berwick.


He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Berwick.


Natale enjoyed cooking, watching soccer, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were two brothers: Ralph Colone and Paulo Colone.


He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Rita Romiti; his son, Bernard R. Colone and his wife, Denise, of Harrisburg; two grandchildren: Jillian and Gabriel; and two brothers: Peter Colone and his wife, JoAnn, and Antonio Colone, all of Berwick.


A visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 721 Monroe Street, Berwick, with the Rev. William T. Barbee, his pastor, officiating as Celebrant.


Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Joseph Catholic Church at the above address.


Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Berwick.
