James Otis Collins was affectionately known as Boon Coon to family and friends. He was born March 30, 1959, in Bibb County, Georgia to the late parents McKinley and Daisy Mae Collins.
He attended the Bibb County Public School system. He enjoyed spending holidays and special gatherings with his family. He was very well known in his community as “Black Bottom” and to his neighbors. He joined Antioch Baptist Church at an early age.
On April 11, 2024, James Collins was called home.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Mae Brown.
