Daniel Kelly Brown, a dedicated public servant and cherished member of his community, was born on July 23, 1939, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Richard Blackstone Brown and Julia Cary (Carson) Brown.
He was raised and educated in Muskogee, Oklahoma, graduating from Muskogee High School. Daniel pursued higher education and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and History from Northeastern State University.
Daniel proudly served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to duty and honor.
Throughout his career, Daniel served with distinction in the Federal Government Department of Labor, where he dedicated himself to public service. His commitment and hard work led him to retire as a District Director after 30 years of service.
On April 2, 2024, Daniel Kelly Brown passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, kindness, and devotion to his work.
Daniel was preceded in death by his loving parents, Richard and Julia Brown. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory are sons, Randall Brown and David Brown, daughter-in-law Jody Brown, and grandchildren Taylor Brown, Ashleigh Brown, and Alyssa Brown.
A service to honor and celebrate Daniel's life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Greenhill Cemetery, Muskogee.
Though Daniel has departed from this world, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
