Rebecca Gloria Youngblood Obituary

Rebecca Gloria Ortiz Youngblood, beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024, at the age of 56.
Rebecca, known affectionately as Becky, was born in Los Angeles on April 13, 1968. She spent her formative years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, attending Wilson Jr High, Rogers High School, and graduating from Edison High School in 1986. During her time at Edison High School, Becky was an active member of the Future Leaders of America and received numerous Academic Excellence Awards. She furthered her education at Tulsa Vo-Tech, studying Early Childhood Development, although she ultimately chose a different career path.
Becky began her journey at McDonald's, where she served as the Hostess overseeing birthday parties in the Big Red Caboose Train. It was here that she met the love of her life, Tim Youngblood, with whom she shared a devoted relationship spanning over 37 years. They officially began their life together on December 1, 1986, in a quaint church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Together, they embarked on various adventures, including a sojourn in Seattle before returning to their beloved Oklahoma.
Becky dedicated over two decades of her professional life as a Paralegal before transitioning to a role as a secretary at a local insurance company. However, her most cherished role was that of a dedicated mother and wife. She was actively involved in her children's school activities, earning the title of "Locker Mom" for the Sand Springs Football Moms Decorating Committee. Becky's love for her family knew no bounds, as she ensured that no birthday, anniversary, or special occasion went unnoticed.
An accomplished cake maker, Becky's talent extended to crafting beautiful creations for birthdays, graduations, and special gatherings. She found joy in scrapbooking, photography, wreath making, and home gardening, hobbies that reflected her creative spirit and love for her family.
Becky was preceded in death by her nephew Stacy Hill and niece Ashley Ortiz. She is survived by her devoted husband Tim Youngblood, loving mother Tamie Barnard, adoring children Kristina Barrios (Angelo), Tim Jr., and Zack (Kayla), along with her 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Boatner, Jakob Boatner, Jr. Barrios, Teigan Youngblood, and Tataum Youngblood.
Becky will be remembered for her unwavering love, boundless kindness, and selfless devotion to her family and community. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
