James Liam Manion

James Liam Manion, 22, of Boston and Newington, passed away on April 15, 2016, in Boston. He was born on November 14, 1993, in New Britain and raised in Newington, where he attended local schools and graduated from Newington High School. James was currently attending the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston working towards a degree in applied math. He had hoped to pursue his doctorate. James loved Boston. One of his favorite pastimes in the city was visiting the local coffee shops. He also found joy in gaming. A beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew and cousin, he leaves his mother of Newington, his father and stepmother, Stephen A. and Patricia (DeBenedictis) Manion of Newington, his brother, Sean Manion and his fiancé Leanne Butler of Plainville, his paternal grandparents, William and Dolores Manion of Newington, his uncle, Kevin Manion and his wife Linda of Newington, his aunt, Linda Lastrina and her husband Richard of Newington, his uncle, Donald Coughlin and his wife Anne Marie of Middlefield, his stepbrother and sister, as well as many cousins. James was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Lillian Coughlin. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
