Funeral services for Marilyn Sue Holland, 75 of Vidalia, LA will be held at Young's Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday, LA on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2 PM with Pastor Rickey Jones and Bro. James Cockerham officiating. Interment will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Young's Funeral Home from 12PM until the time of the service at 2 PM.


Marilyn was born on Thursday, September 16, 1948 in Natchez, MS and passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in Alexandria, LA. She was a resident of Vidalia, and a strong soul who dedicated her life to service and family. With an unmatched work ethic, she embraced numerous roles within her community, shining brightest as a cherished cashier at Vidalia Market. Her warmth and kindness touched countless lives, making each interaction at the checkout a moment of genuine connection. Beyond her passion for work, she found her greatest joy in the company of her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Her legacy of hard work, love, and devotion will forever echo through the hearts of those she touched. Though she may have left this world, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us all.


She is reunited with her father, Leslie Herbert Givens Sr., mother, Betty Jo Kramer, brother, Bubba Givens, and granddaughter, Skylar Evans.


Those left to cherish Marilyn's memories are her daughter, Stephanie Woods (Jeff) of Natchez, MS, son, Drew Harrison of Ferriday, LA, her furry child, Binx, 7 grandchildren, Chase Evans (Courtney), Haven Evans and fiancé Cade Wells, Jestin Harrison, Nyla Jefferson, Makyie Harrison, Zack Woods and fiancé Lexie McGuffee, Garrett Woods (Courtney), 9 great-grandchildren, Brantley Evans, Jace Evans, Parrish Evans, Tucker Wells, Magnolia Wells, Hudson Woods, Theo Woods, Kade Woods, Addy Woods, sister, Bobbie Leachman, sister, Jean Anderson, sister in law, Linda Givens; special friend, Melissa Dixon, nephew, Leslie Givens III (Susan), and great nephew, Leslie Ray Fish.


Those honoring Marilyn as pallbearers and Honorary pallbearers will be Tensas Parish Sheriffs Department.
