Virginia Jean Richter Howell, MI Her Legacy…Virginia J. Richter, age 82, passed away, June 20, 2018. Virginia was born on March 19, 1936, in Niles, MI to Ralph H. and Leota M. (Stratton) Coffinger. She married the love of her life, Frederic W. Richter III, on April 19, 1958, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Niles, MI. Virginia enjoyed being out in her garden, taking care of her roses and bird watching. She was a sports enthusiast, and a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family. Her Family…Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Frederic; children, Kimberly (Rolf) Christopherson, Cynthia (Russ) Reiman, and Christopher (Mary) Richter; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Scott and a brother, Joseph. Her Farewell…Virginia’s farewell will be private.
