Katherine Helen Sloboda, 92, of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, passed away on April 9, 2024 at Bridging Life Dove House. For 67 years, Katherine was the loving wife of the late Frank Martin Sloboda who predeceased her in January 2019.


Katherine was born on January 4, 1932 in Baltimore to the late Helen Rukowski Litvinuck and John Litvinuck. She worked as an accountant for the Howard County government and retired in 1995 after 22 years of service.


Katherine is survived by her three daughters; Kathy Fecke of Alaska, Brenda Decker and husband Harry of Westminster, and Sandra Schrider and husband Richard of Florida. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, April Greenwood, Kevin Magee, and Holly Martin, and by her great-granddaughters, Brianna and Shyla.


Katherine was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. She enjoyed travelling with her husband both abroad and throughout the United States. While living at Carroll Lutheran Village, she frequently went on their bus trips. Most of all, Katherine enjoyed time spent with her loving family.


In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 may be made in Katherine's memory.
