Laura "Earline" Owens, 78, of Midway, Texas passed away on April 9, 2024 in Midway, Texas. She was born to Earl Leon Garrett and Laura Belle (Thomas) Garrett on April 8, 1946 in Marble Falls, Texas. Earline was a talented woodworker. In her early years she worked as a framer. When she was older, she became the first, and only, female truck driver for Coca-Cola. Earline loved to dance and gazing upon the beauty of spring flowers.
Earline was preceded in death by both of her parents; son, Jason Keith Malone; and siblings, Thomas Lee Garrett, Carl Leon Garrett, Howard Ray Garrett and Karen Lynn Garrett. She is survived by her husband, Robert Keith Owens; sons, Charles William Tamborina and Keith Taulby Owens (Rachel); four grandchildren; brother, Bobby Joe Garrett (Cora); sisters, B J Himburg, Peggy Raspberry, Patsy Ann Garrett and Kathy Holland; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A graveside service for Earline will be held at 2 P.M., Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Allphin Cemetery, Midway, Texas. Grandson, Tristan Jordan, will officiate the service. A visitation will take place from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
