He was born September 16, 1951 in Oak Ridge, LA to the late Eddie Lee Brown and Mattie Lee Brown.


James was married to Emma Brown for over 49 years. To this union, they welcomed 3 children.


He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Lee Brown, mother, Mattie Lee Brown, and siblings: Will Brown, Eddie Lee Brown, Jr., Earnest Brown, George Brown, and Frances Whitley.


He leaves behind to cherish his memories: wife, Emma Brown of Rayville, LA, daughter, Tracy Brown of Round Rock, TX; son, Timothy Brown of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Marquita Brown of Mansfield, TX; siblings, Henry Brown (Bernice) of Renton, WA, Catherine Wilson (Glenn) of Rayville, LA, Annie Mae Brown of Rayville, LA and Willie Brown of Rayville, LA;

7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children and friends.
