Mildred O. ‘Millie’ Burskey, 84, of Toronto, OH, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, in the Villa Vista Royale in Steubenville, OH.

Millie was born Jan. 13, 1940, in Dillonvale, OH, daughter of the late Howard Charles and Bertha Virginia (Sligar) Paxton.

Millie had previously worked for 17 years at the now former Ohio Edison W.H. Sammis Plant Electrical Dept. in Stratton, OH.

She was a member of the St. Francis R.C. Church in Toronto and loved to quilt and enjoyed walking.

In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Karl Burskey, brother Mickey Paxton, and sister Delores Paxton.

Surviving is her daughter, Kimberly (Fredric) Gorney of Toronto, and son, Michael (Lisa) Burskey of Weirton, WV; two granddaughters, Sarah and Emily Burskey; two sisters, Patricia Elerick of Mt. Pleasant, OH, and Joanna Farkas of Columbus, OH; best friend, Laureen Romey of East Springfield, OH, and her dog Buddy.

Millie’s wishes were to be cremated, with no services observed, and a private inurnment in the Toronto Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Valley Hospice.
