Teresa C. Shaddox Obituary

Teresa C. Shaddox was born on Sunday, July 15, 1956 in Tulsa to Glenn and Betty Shaddox. Teresa went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the age of 67 years. Teresa was the older sister of Randy and Jamie.

The Shaddox kids grew up Red Fork but spent most of their weekends and summers in Berryhill with their grandparents. Glenn and Betty raised their family at Red Fork Baptist Church and it was there that she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

Teresa graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1974 and started working for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She started as an operator, then became the first female lineman in Oklahoma and later became a manager for ATT's Smart Moves Program in Arkansas and Oklahoma. She retired after 30 years.

In 1984, Teresa found her true calling in life - she became Aunt TC. Casey, Meagan and Hailey could not have asked for a better aunt. She loved to cook and host friends and family. Her summer pool parties will always be remembered by her loved ones.

Teresa was an avid sports fan. She loved tennis, golf, baseball, and football. She really disliked Tony Romo especially when he called Chiefs games. Teresa loved to travel. She especially loved going to the beach and many family vacations were spent in Destin.

Teresa loved animals. Abby and later Teddi were her faithful companions and brought her much joy.

Teresa was diagnosed with leukemia around 2000. For 24 years, she bravely battled cancer until a stroke in December 2023 sidelined her. During the time Teresa was fighting leukemia she also helped take care of her father and moved in to take care of her mother after her mother had a stroke.

Teresa was met in heaven by her parents: Glenn and Betty Shaddox, her sister: Jamie Ferguson, her dear friend: Nancy Reynolds

Teresa is survived by: her brother: Randy Shaddox and his wife, Liz, of Tulsa; her nieces: Casey Ferguson and her husband, Jesse, of Garland, Texas; Meagan Ferguson of Tulsa; Hailey Ferguson of Tulsa; her great nephews: Wyatt Drury and Beckett Drury; her brother-in-love: Mark Ferguson of Tulsa; her aunt: Gloria Cochran of Tulsa; numerous cousins and other relatives; her constant companion Teddi; and a number of good friends who were so faithful to help with Teresa during the three months since her stroke.
