<p><i>George Ralph Larson, 81, passed away April 1, 2024 at his home in Bethany, OK. He was born March 1, 1943 in Kokomo, Indiana to Lawrence and Evangeline (Steel) Larson. He married the love of his life, Carolyn A Scarff, on March 11, 1972 in Marion, Indiana.</i></p><p><i><br></i></p><p><i>George served as a bus driver for several Oklahoma City schools, and also worked as a custodian, most recently at Our Spot Head Start Center, where he retired at the age of 80. He enjoyed fishing, going to museums and taking vacations. One of his favorite vacation spots was Coronado Beach in San Diego, CA where he enjoyed putting his feet in the water and walking on the sand. He was also an avid OU football fan. George loved spending time with his family and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His two dogs, Billy and Boomer, also held a special place in his heart.</i></p><p><i><br></i></p><p><i>George was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Marie Tudur. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn; children, George Larson, Jr., Anita Ruiz and husband, David, Tim Larson, Melissa Larson, and Lawrence Larson; and three grandchildren, Destany, Angelina and Joshua Ruiz.</i></p><p><i><br></i></p><p><i>Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Thursday, April 11, 9am-8pm with family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, April 12 at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church, 5700 NW 63 Street, Warr Acres, OK. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery at 2:30pm.</i></p><p><br><br></p><p></p>
