Elizabeth M. DiPietrantonio Obituary

Elizabeth M. (Lewarchik) \”Petro\” DiPietrantonio, 90, of Monaca, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 3, 2010, at her home. Born August 3, 1919, in Spangler (Cambria Co.),PA., she was a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Semicek) Lewarchik. Elizabeth married Tony DiPietrantonio and shared 62 years together prior to his passing on March 15, 2002. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Elizabeth was a homemaker and enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower garden. In addition to her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, and four sisters. Left to mourn her passing are three brothers, Bill Lane, of Center Township, Ed Lewarchik (his late wife, Norma), of Economy Boro, and George Lewarchik and his wife, Eleanor, of New Brighton; a sister, Anne Boffo (her late husband, Andrew), in FL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724-728-4000), where prayers will be offered on Friday at 11:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca, with Father John L. McKenna as the celebrant. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, if desired to a charity of the donors choice.
